On a table saw of course. :^P Roy Underhill, the undisputed master of hand-tools, demonstrates what happens when fried chicken meets a Saw Stop at Highland Woodworking. Not much else is really needed to introduce this video. It’s pretty funny! Check it out.
I don’t see a video link here. I wanted to see the video.
The video is embeded not linked. What browser are you using?
I tried Explorer and Firefox. I don’t see it with either browser. When you say embed, do you mean there should be a video box there and I can click play? If so, then it’s just blank, no box.
Hmm. I’m vexed. It works for me in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
I have never seen anyone with enough nerve to stick his or her finger into that spinning blade. Surely it works. But I understand that once this safety feature is engaged, it messes up both the blade and the mechanism that stops the blade (at a not insignificant expense). Of course, that cost is nothing compared to the value of the digit it saved.
I know of only one person to touch a blade in a Sawstop intentionally and that was the inventor. It was filmed for the show TimeWarp (see link below). I don’t think I would ever try this.
(I made a new post with the video embeded above)
