I Got One Published!

So several months ago I submitted a jig idea to FineWoodworking magazine for their ‘Methods of Work’ section. I found out a few weeks ago that it was going to be published in this months issue (September 2011, pg14) but I didn’t know until yesturday that it had won top prize. Pretty cool! (If you have an online account you can read it here on pg 14).

The jig utilizes a dial indicator for aligning your table saw and can be made with scrap wood. I think dial indicators are way under utilized by woodworkers. I’m not sure why, but I think some might be intimidated by them. The things you can do with them in the shop is literally only limited by your imagination.

Anyway, thank you FineWoodworking for the write-up and the prize!

I like your article and congrats on making it to the big leagues. Interesting that on page 21 they reviewed the Betterly Una-Guage which is sort of like yours, except it sells for $200.00. And while I know the Una-Guage does more stuff, I like your shop made guage better.
