Camera Dolly 2.0

I really enjoy the process of making woodworking videos.  I am always trying to think of new ways to improve my production skills too.

Camera dollies are great for a nice slide shot which involves moving the camera from left to right (or right-left).  You can also use them for push and pull shots.

I made a new camera dolly today with the goal of having it be able to make tight turns on a track.  For the wheel-component I used inline skate wheels and bearings, aluminum angle and assorted washers and bolts.  The 1″ PVC that I used as the track ended up being too stiff to bend to the tight radius that I wanted.  Nevertheless, it turned out to be a really nice dolly and I have no doubt that I’ll get a lot of use out of it.
