Bridle Joinery

I am in the process of making a breakfast tray and I started on the joinery tonight.  I cut out the female portion of the bridle joint at the table saw using my DIY tenoning jig.  Next, I carefully removed the center section in between the two cheeks at the bandsaw.  I chiseled the bottom of the joint flat using a block of wood (clamped to the stock) as a guide.

This process will be highlighted in my next project video.
